GDI2026 Industry Chapter Day brings together leading voices from industry, academia and professional practice for a full day of thought-provoking conversations, presentations, panels and interactive workshops exploring the future of digital innovation in the built environment.

Taking place on Friday 11 September 2026 at Sir Paul Reeves Building, AUT, the programme will examine future skills and technologies, artificial intelligence, electrification, natural capital, mātauranga Māori, intergenerational development, and the evolving role of women in the built environment.

With more than 20 industry and academic speakers, the event provides a valuable platform to exchange ideas, challenge established thinking, share practical insights and build meaningful connections across the sector.

The day will conclude with the Aga Khan Award for Architecture at AUT, including an exhibition and public conversation focused on global architecture and local futures.
